Childcare Efforts Expand to All Essential Workers, DHS Grant Extending to Mid-August

Funding for the COVID-19 Essential Employee Child Care Payment Assistance and other child care programs is now being provided through the Federal Child Care Development Fund (CCDF). The program is now expanding to include all essential workers. 

Parents working in essential jobs can now access this FREE childcare during the COVID-19 pandemic. Read the full release from the Tennessee Department of Human Services.  Childcare services are available for children ages 4-12 at the following YMCA locations: 

  • Downtown Family YMCA - Access the wait list here.

  • North River Family YMCA
  • Cleveland Family YMCA

  • J.A. Henry Community YMCA
