SOCIAL SPORTS – What we're all about!
We offer a wide variety of Adult Sports - both organized and unorganized at our facilities. Unorganized play includes Pick-up Basketball, Pickleball and Racquetball throughout the day, while organized play includes Miracle League Adaptive Baseball and Masters Swim Team. Come out to meet and greet new people while experiencing the fun of the sport.
Basketball
Pick-up basketball is available to YMCA members at the following branches: North River, Cleveland, Hamilton and Downtown. Contact your local branch for more information.
Pickleball
Cleveland:
- Mon. - Fri. 9 am - 1:30 pm
Hamilton:
- Mon. 2:15 - 5 pm
- Tue/Thurs. 6:30 - 8:30 am & 10:30 am - 3 pm
- Wed. 1 - 4 pm
- Fri. 11:15 am - 3:30 pm
Downtown:
- Mon. - Fri. 9 am - 12 pm & 1- 4 pm
- Sat. 6 am - 12 pm
- Pickleball 101 occurs first Saturday each month at 8 am
North River:
- Beginner/Intermediate: Mon/Wed/Fri. 5 - 9 a.m. & 12-2 p.m.
- Intermediate/Advanced: Fridays 5-9 a.m. & 12 - 2 p.m. & Sundays 1-3 p.m.
- Pickleball 101 offered the 1st Friday each month from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. (no class fee; included in your membership)
Racquetball
Members can make reservations up to 2 days in advance. Racquetball is free with your Y membership. Call your local branch to reserve your court today.
Masters Swim
Looking for coached swimming workouts with other swimmers? The YMCA of Metropolitan Chattanooga Masters Swim Club is led by highly experienced aquatics coaches who make each workout new and challenging.
Masters Swim is currently offered at the Downtown Family YMCA.
Boxing
Want to step into the ring? The YMCA Community Action Project (YCAP) offers adult boxing at the downtown location at 1600 Central Ave. Offerings include one-on-one training sessions and boxing classes.
Adaptive Baseball: Miracle League
Miracle League is open to all ages and provides people with disabilities the opportunity to play the game of baseball, to enjoy the thrill of competition and to experience the excitement of teamwork. Spring and Fall Seasons.
