FIND YOUR ZEN: Sound Bath Healing
If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, anxious or simply in need of a moment to reset, our upcoming sound healing sessions might be just what your mind and body are craving. Launching May 13, these transformative experiences offer a calming journey into deep relaxation using the meditative sounds of singing bowls and gongs.
What Is Sound Healing?
Sound healing, also known as a sound bath, is a meditative practice that uses vibrational sound frequencies to calm the nervous system, reduce stress and encourage emotional release. Participants lie back comfortably in a quiet space while tones from traditional instruments such as Tibetan singing bowls, crystal bowls and gongs create an immersive sonic atmosphere.
These harmonic vibrations help to quiet mental chatter, balance energy and guide you toward a state of inner peace.
Launches May 13
Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays
Time: 7 to 7:45 p.m.
Location: Hamilton Family YMCA
Each 45-minute session is designed to help you unwind and reconnect — whether you're ending a busy workday or simply looking to create space for stillness in your week.
Important Health Considerations
While sound baths are generally safe and accessible, they are not recommended for individuals who are pregnant. Additionally, if you have a pacemaker, we encourage you to consult your healthcare provider before participating.
