The Cleveland Family YMCA provides quality afterschool programs in partnership with Bradley County Schools to give kids the extra advantage they need for a healthier, happier life. Our programs are offered on-campus at every Bradley County elementary school and provide daily activities that promote a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.

Y-Afterschool Program focuses on building Assets in youth: We believe in helping kids get what they need to succeed.  The more positive relationships a child forms, the more successful they will be.

Empowerment
The Y-Afterschool Program gives a safe, asset-rich environment in which youth can thrive after school. A place where they can feel they are part of a special community that values them for who they are and wants them to succeed.

Commitment to Learning
Y-Afterschool Program students are encouraged to enjoy learning and always seek to achieve higher standards for themselves. Adult supervised homework is an important part of their schedule every day and opportunities for reading open their minds to the world and beyond.

Positive Values
Caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility are at the core of the YMCA philosophy. Leaders model these character traits and encourage students to incorporate those traits in their own lives. Students are taught the value of healthy living and respect for others.
