Youth Fitness Classes at the YMCA!

Kids ages 3 - 15 will be able to build strength, improve endurance, meet new friends and so much more! Youth fitness classes are offered at our Downtown, Hamilton and North River YMCAs.

Youth Studio Classes:

Hop, Skip & Sing - Explore rhythm, coordination & creativity through music & movement.

  • Ages 3+  |  Mon/Wed  |  9 am

Ballet Basics - learn basic movements and terminology while improving flexibility and balance. 

  • Ages 3+  |  Mon/Wed  |  9:30 am

Beat Blast - Cardio Drumming class!

  • Ages 3-5  |  Tues  |  11:30 am

Move & Groove - Learn fun dances to tunes like "Hakuna Matata!"

  • Ages 3-5  |  Tues  |  11 am

Mommy & Me - Workout with your little ones!

  • Ages 3+  |  Tues  |  5 pm

Move & Groove Plus - Learn fun dances to tunes like "Hakuna Matata!"

  • Ages 6-12  |  Mon/Wed  |  4:30 pm

Beat Blast Plus - Cardio Drumming class!

  • Ages 6+  |  Mon/Wed  |  5 pm

Kids Barre - A combination of moves inspired by ballet, yoga & pilates!

PIT Classes:

CrossFit Kids - A high-energy program designed to teach children the basics of movement, exercise and teamwork through workouts and games.

  • Mon/Wed/Fri
    • Ages 3-5  |  10 am

Ninja Zone - Obstacle course style fitness class designed to improve hand-eye coordination, dexterity & most importantly, FUN!  

  • Ages 3+  |  Tues/Thurs  |  10 am

Youth Circuit -

  • Ages 7-11  |  Tuesdays & Thursdays - 4:30 pm

The following classes are seasonal, please check with branch for upcoming sessions:

Family Fitness Days - Wednesdays (parent attendance required)

Family Zumba - All ages  |  12 pm (parent attendance encouraged)

 

North River Family YMCA

Athletic Conditioning - Ages 7 - 15

  • Tuesdays & Thursdays  |  6 pm  |  parents not required to attend but must remain onsite
