MEET BEBE: GROUP EX INSTRUCTOR
Bebe’s wellness journey began at the YMCA during her early childhood; Bebe walked to the Y from school every day from kindergarten through eighth grade, developing a love for sports, especially gymnastics. Bebe competed in YMCA gymnastics programs and later taught gymnastics, considering it “her sport” throughout her youth.

After college, Bebe expanded her athletic interests to running and triathlons. She has since completed multiple marathons and two Ironman triathlons, pushing her endurance and agility to new levels.
In 2013, Bebe retired from her job working for the State of Georgia. Three years later, she and her late husband moved to Chattanooga, where Bebe joined the Downtown Family YMCA. It was here that she dove into her passion for Pilates, Yoga and group exercise. Eager to deepen her practice, Bebe began instructing group exercise classes, ultimately becoming a pillar in our YMCA family.
Today, Bebe teaches a variety of classes, including Pilates, Gentle Yoga, Senior Fitness, Low-Impact Circuit, Core & more, and Pilates/Barre Combo. Outside of teaching, she enjoys urban hiking and trail hiking, and just staying active in the outdoors.
Bebe’s journey from a YMCA member to instructor reflects her lifelong commitment to wellness and her dedication to helping others achieve their health goals.
