Meet the Coaches
Bruno Martins, a native of Portugal, is a well-seasoned athlete on the road, bike and in the pool and has been in the fitness industry for almost 20 years. Martins has competed in both road and mountain bike races, as well as short and long distance triathlons. Aside from his professional expertise as a trainer/coach and his own experience as an athlete, he is also uniquely certified in Endurance Training, making him an invaluable wealth of knowledge in helping others meet their goals.
Welcome Coach Todd Viens!
Given our tremendous growth, Precision Endurance is excited to welcome coach Todd Viens to the PE family. Todd has raced all distances of triathlons and running events. He has mastered training, nutrition/fueling and the mental aspects of competing in endurance events while maintaining a family-life balance. He is a fierce competitor, yet extremely humble, and has improved his performances each year in the sport. He believes in consistency, working hard, and adequate rest and recovery. Todd is working on finalizing his USAT coaching certificate. He is interesting in coaching a limited number of committed athletes (don’t wait too long) that he can share his experiences with and who want to take it to the next level.

About the Program
The Downtown Family YMCA’s Precision Endurance program tailors a workout and nutrition regimen based on your goals, and connects you to a network of other individuals who can become training or accountability partners. Take the guess work out and sign up for this VIRTUAL individualized program! That's right - you can sign up for this program and participate ANYWHERE! The approach is simple. Improvement takes commitment, hard work, consistency and patience.
What exactly is included in the program? Programs can include:
• Nutrition analysis and plan
• Weight loss goals
• Efficiency training
• Daily workouts sent in 4 week blocks via the online training log
• Free threshold testing upon startup as well as every three months to monitor progress and ensure accurate heart rate training zones
• Body composition testing
• Set-up of annual training periodization
• Specific targeting of physiological limiters and monitoring of progress
• Detailed/written race fueling plan and analysis
• Specific pacing plans for all of your races including wattage recommendations on the bike

Will I have regular contact with my coach?
Yes, you’ll be in contact with your coach by email, text, private forum, Skype and phone on an as-needed-basis for premium one-on-one coaching.
What if I sign up for the program, but have a change in my schedule?
Not to worry, you can adjust your schedule as often as needed. I’ve never done a race before.
Is this program appropriate for me?
Yes. This program is tailored for a variety of goals and different fitness levels. The value of this program, regardless of fitness level, is that there’s no guess work in how to prepare for your goal or race. You’ll receive step by step instructions on how to physically prepare and fuel your body. I’ve done many races before on my own.
How can this program benefit me?
Even seasoned athletes can benefit from having a coach on hand to help you gauge progress in meeting your goals and do drive changes in training, heart rate zones, nutrition and other factors so that you are set up for a successful race.
