Fall Prevention

Fall Prevention Awareness Week is a national health campaign observed on the first day of fall to increase awareness around fall risks and injury prevention. Falls are not a normal part of aging, and the good news is there are ways to learn about how to prevent them. Falls remain the leading cause of fatal and non-fatal injuries for older adults and can significantly impact quality of life.

This year, we will be kicking off Fall Prevention week with a watch party on Sept. 19 at our North River YMCA location at 11 a.m.
