CREATING RESPECT AND RESPONSIBILITY
What is the Transitional House?
The Y-CAP Transitional House gives homeless young men who may have struggled with addiction in the past a clean, stable environment to live in while they get back on their feet.
Residents and Stipulations:
Currently, the Transitional House is capable of housing six men. Our residents must sign a one year lease, pay a low-cost rent, volunteer, attend bi-monthly meetings and maintain jobs while living in the House. The Transitional House gives these young men a chance to gain responsibility and respect to better their lives.
How the House Gives Our Community a Stronger Tomorrow:
By helping today's young adults, we are ensuring that our community's future is full of responsible and respectable adults.
How You Can Help:
Our residents need male mentors to help them stay on the right path. Learning about finances, budgets, investing and credit is important for the men at this point in their lives.
