Health and Wellness

The YMCA is the nation's largest provider of health and wellness programs. In fact, improving the nation’s health and well-being is a core area of focus for the YMCA.

Locally, the branches that make up the YMCA of Metropolitan Chattanooga welcome individuals from every walk of life and at a variety of points along their health journeys. Being healthy means more than simply being physically active. Whether you're young or old, just starting out, or a veteran, the YMCA offers a variety of equipment, classes, and programs for getting and staying healthy. In fact, when you join the Y, you will have numerous programs available to you.

This program is a “user friendly” educational program for any health seeker who is wanting help developing motivation to lead a healthier lifestyle. The program is delivered in 2 one hour sessions-- basic nutrition & the importance of physical activity. Our goal is to help participants establish healthy habits and a healthy lifestyle through nutrition and physical activity. Offered at all 4 branch sites: Downtown, Hamilton, Cleveland and North River. Free to members; $25 for non-members. Contact Megan Vermeer, 423-877-3517 for more info.
