YMCA Chattanooga - Free Y Pass
Membership

The Y is a dynamic, diverse organization, a place where you can learn and grow as an individual, a place where families can have fun and spend time together.  Belonging to the YMCA means camaraderie, respect and the opportunity to build long-lasting friendships.

While it’s possible to pursue wellness in various fitness facilities, the Y is altogether different in its commitment to strengthening the foundations of our community as a nonprofit, cause-driven organization

When you join the Y, you join us in nurturing the potential of children and teens, promoting healthy living, and fostering a sense of social responsibility for the good of the community.  Together, we ensure that every individual has access to the essentials needed to learn, grow and thrive.  Just by being a member of the Y, you make a difference.

Our Values
Our core values unite us as a movement with a common cause. They are the shared beliefs and essential principles that guide our behavior, interactions with each other and decision-making. The five values of the Y are caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and faith.

Our Mission
The Mission of the Y is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

The Benefits of Membership
Your Y membership is a passport to a world of health and wellness opportunities, family enrichment, and a wealth of programs for children and teens.  You’ll have opportunities to volunteer, to try new things and to grow in spirit, mind and body.

Your Y membership includes a wide variety of group exercise classes, an individual fitness evaluation, Y-Start (see below) and parking, all at no additional charge.  When you work out at the Y, your children will be happy in Y Child Watch, a free service with any family membership.  If you have an individual membership Child Watch is free up through age 5. You’ll also receive member discounts on YMCA child care, day camp, resident camp, youth sports and other Y programs.

Y-Start
When you join the Y, our free Y-Start Program will help you become familiar with all the Y has to offer. When you join, we’ll ask you about your goals and how you hope to benefit from your association with the Y.  You’ll have two more sessions with one of our wellness coaches to design a plan to meet your goals and to give you an orientation to our programs and services.  You’ll also receive coupons for free personal training sessions – two for individual memberships and four for family memberships. Ask about Y-Start at the Welcome Center when you join the Y.

Satisfaction Guaranteed – No Contracts
A YMCA membership is guaranteed, so you never have to sign a contract.  If you’re not satisfied with the quality of our services, we will refund the remaining unused portion of your membership with a 30-day written notice filled out and turned in to our welcome desk.

Membership Cards
All YMCA members are issued a membership card when they join.  You must present it each time you enter the building for access to the facility.  All members and guests must have a picture ID.
