The YMCA East Ridge Academy is located at the East Ridge Community Center in East Ridge, TN and offers an afterschool program, intercession camps, and summer day camp programs. Academy programs are structured to enhance participant’s academic, physical and spiritual development. 

Afterschool

The Afterschool program serves youth in grades K-5 from Spring Creek and East Ridge Elementary Schools. (Contact the site director, for inquiries in regards to other schools). 


The Afterschool program consists of:

• Journaling
• Physical Fitness
• Library Events
• Arts and Crafts
• Daily healthy snack and meal are provided.

East Ridge Day Camp:


Discovery awaits at the YMCA East Ridge Academy’s Day Camp.  Y Day Camp at East Ridge Academy is the destination for youth to enjoy a summer of fun, friendship and exploration as it is developed to create positive experiences and memories that will last a lifetime.  

Day Camp consists of:

• Devotions
• Character Development
• Physical Fitness Activity
• Healthy snack and meals
• Academic Enrichment: journaling, reading centers and math fun
• Nature Lore
• Arts and Crafts
• Field Trips
• Swimming

A typical day:

• 7:00 – 9:00 Rides In (Morning Care)
• 9:00 – 9:30 Opening Ceremony
• 9:30 – 12:00: Academic Enrichment, Physical Fitness, Arts and Crafts and Games
• 12:00 – 1:00 Lunch & Games
• 1:00 – 4:00 Swimming & Field Trips
• 4:00 – 6:00 Rides Out (Afternoon Care)

Age: Rising 1^stthrough 5^thgraders (campers must have completed kindergarten).

Time: 7:00am- 6:00pm

What to Bring:

• Clothes that parents dont mind getting dirty.
• Swim suit and towel
• Comfortable tennis shoes (sandals are not appropriate shoes)
• Water bottle
• Sunscreen
• Healthy lunch and snack that does not require refrigeration or heating (as neither are available)

• Valuables
• Cell Phones
• Electronic Devices
   

Camper Fee:

• $75.00 per week for East Ridge Residents
• $95.00 per week for non East Ridge Residents

Registration Dates:

Registration begins April 1.
First Day of Camp: May 23, 2012
Last Day of Camp: August 5, 2012
