Pool Parties & Lock-Ins

There's nothing more fun than pool parties or lock-ins at the Downtown Y! Come celebrate your next birthday with us and we'll make it unforgettable! We have the perfect pool party you are looking for. We can accommodate up to 25 kids per party (additional kids welcome for an additional fee) and provide access to our Family Adventure Zone for parents to serve food or for kids to open gifts.

Booking a Party

Parties are available:

  •   Saturdays 12—2 p.m.; 2—4 p.m.; or 4:30-6:30 p.m.
  •  Sundays 2—4 p.m.
  •  All  Downtown YMCA birthday parties can be reserved by contacting Andrew Wheeler, Party Coordinator. Payment must be made in full ($25 of every party is non-refundable) and turned in with registration form for the party to be booked.   We accept MasterCard, Visa, America Express, Discover, cash or check.

Materials included in birthday parties:

  • Chairs and tables. If there is a need for more tables or chairs please call and notify birthday party coordinator. 
  • Paper products are not provided unless you purchase a party supplies package.

Outside food/drink:

  • You can bring food, drinks, cake, and decorations. Table cloths are recommended. Guests are responsible for removing gifts and personal items before the scheduled party time is over. Please no glitter or confetti.

Swim Party Guidelines

  • All swimmers under the age of 14 must take a swim test. Swimmers who do not pass or decline to take the test may swim in the shallow area of the pool under any of the following conditions:
    • They are within arm’s length of the parent
    •  They are 5 feet or taller
    •  They are wearing a Coast Guard approved Personal Floatation Device
  • Children under the age of 4 MUST wear a swim diaper in the pool
  •  Children under the age of 6 must be accompanied by an adult in the pool area

Access to party room:

  • Since several parties are booked in a single day, the earliest you may enter the party room to set up is 30 minutes prior to your party's start time.

What if I have more than 25 kids in my party?

  • A fee of $20 per additional child over 25 kids will be charged. 


We're the perfect place to have your next overnight event! Whether you’re a church group, sports team, scout troop, band, or any kind of group...you’re all welcome at the Y!

Your group will have full access to our gym, indoor track, indoor swimming pool, racquetball courts, food & drink area, and men’s, women’s and youth locker rooms & showers.
